lyrics

Merry Xmas to Me

I’m sitting by the tree, broken glass at my feet
from the ornaments that fell
Oh, the stories they could tell if they could speak
Merry xmas to me

The presents sit unwrapped, they look like relics from the past
The winter’s winds frosted the glass
I hear cars go by so fast out on the street
Merry xmas to me

Merry xmas, merry xmas the carolers are singing down the street
Merry xmas, merry xmas I quietly sing in harmony
Merry xmas to me

I tried to call you on the phone
The message said you’re not at home
I can’t say what’s on my mind
so I disconnect the line and then I speak
Merry xmas to me
